Langley currently works with 80 adults with intellectual disabilities through our Residential and Community Support programs. We offer two types of Residential programs—Intensive and Supportive—serving 19 and 8 individuals, respectively. There are 53 people in our Community Support program.
The individuals we serve are unique. All have been diagnosed with an intellectual disability, however, the level or impact of the disability is different for each person. Everyone faces their own challenges. This means that some people are able live on their own with minimal support, while others need a more supervised environment. Skill levels vary and sometimes regress with age. However, all of them are able to achieve more than they thought they could, and this is where our work begins.
