OUR PROGRAMS

We envision a world where everyone lives a rich, full life.
One filled with independence, community, and purpose for all.

Residential & Community Support Programs

The individuals we serve at Langley have been diagnosed with varying degrees of cognitive impairment, which impacts their ability to process information and acquire certain skills. With proper support, these individuals can learn many things; it may just take them more time and effort. At Langley, we use a person-centered approach to our services to help each person we work with achieve their dreams by providing support that fosters independence and self-sufficiency. We do this through our two programs: Residential and Community Support.

Langley Residential Support Services

Our Community Support Program

The individuals in our Community Support Program receive drop-in services from our dedicated and highly trained Direct Support Professionals. These individuals live in their own homes or in their family’s homes. Our DSPs provide personalized services that enable them to navigate their community and manage their everyday life.

Typical areas of focus for support are:

Cooking

Shopping

Community resources

Monitoring health

Using transportation

Money management

Decision-making

Time management

Other life skills

Our Residential Program

We operate six group homes with two levels of assistance—Intensive and Supportive—provided by our Direct Support Professionals.

Intensive Assitance

Individuals who require more focused assistance and supervision as they go about their daily routines.

These residents may not be able to respond independently if there is an emergency or may have medical issues that require extra help. Our Direct Support Professionals stay overnight at these homes to provide an additional level of support and are present during the residents’ non-working hours.

Supportive Assitance

Individuals who do not require full-time assistance but still need some support

To meet the needs of these individuals, our counselors are there during critical transitional hours after work during the week, as well as approximately 12.5 hours a day on the weekends.

Life in a Langley home mirrors life in the homes of most adults.

A typical evening for our residents would be coming home from work or their day outside the home, preparing dinner, going to basketball practice or book club, watching their favorite TV show, preparing for the next day, and getting ready for bed.

We Empower Independence

Our Direct Support Professionals support our residents with daily living skills such as maintaining good hygiene and nutrition, taking care of their home, planning their time, making decisions, and managing their finances. Our Direct Support Professionals also support our individuals in community access skills by connecting them with community-wide life enrichment programs.
