In observance of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, Langley Residential Support Services (Langley) has launched a campaign from March 17 – 21, 2025 to raise awareness and critical funding so those with developmental disabilities can continue to have a chance to live a rich, full life. For more than 40 years the Northern Virginia nonprofit has served adults with developmental disabilities and their families by providing quality, comprehensive residential and community support services.

DECEMBER 14, 2022

Langley Residential Support Services is elated to share the news that our own Stephanie Davidson received the esteemed honor of being recognized by the Disability Services Board of Fairfax County with the 2022 Martha Glennan Disability Inclusion and Equality Award in the individual category. Davidson received the award in a ceremony Monday, Dec 12 with LRSS families, board, and staff there to cheer her on.

Langley Residential received a $1,000 grant from the Junior League of Washington to replace a refrigerator at a Fairfax County group home.

Vienna-based Langley Residential Support Services, a nonprofit serving adults with developmental disabilities, has named a new executive director. Langley Residential's board hired Maureen K. Gum as executive director after she served as interim executive director.

"Hopefully, you'd never know that our house is a group home," Betsy Schatz told The Beacon during an interview earlier this year, because they're "regular houses in regular neighborhoods."
